Question of the day (QotD) – Did you get a lockdown puppy and if yes, what breed did you go for and why?
I came across Lapford Dog Club thanks to my amazing, beautiful, one in a million Mastiff x Labrador. At the time he was one in a million because he was so complex to train and so strong to manage. Lapford Dog Club helped us socialise him as a puppy and guide me through how best to control such a big, bouncy, happy dog in everyday life. Sara was one of the trainers who had the entertainment of my dog and me in classes and she is now the chairperson for Lapford Dog Club as well as a trainer. Sara kindly took some time out to tell me more.
How does your business help dogs and their people?
Provides socialisation and training in both obedience and Agility
What are your goals and ambitions for your business over the next year and how can we help?
To train and socialise as many puppies and mature dogs as possible.
What is your favourite part of your job?
Teaching and seeing the rewards of a well behaved dog.
What is the funniest thing that has happened in your job?
Dogs that like to do "zoomies" around the arena!
What are your favourite things about your community of clients, customers and supports?
How much people seem willing to learn and put into practice what we teach them
If you were to start a business again, what advice would you give yourself in general?
Be prepared to expand quickly
If you could be any dog, what breed would you be and how does that align with your personality?
Flatcoated retriever .....full of fun and enthusiasm
What is the earliest dog related memory that you can recall?
Being carried by our German Shepherd by my nappy!
