Devon based horse and dog photographer, capturing and creating memories to last a lifetime

I have worked with so many amazing animals and their humans over the years. Some have been more challenging than others. Please read some of my testimonials and see for yourself that there is always beauty; no matter how naughty, cheeky, playful or nervous your animal or human can be. I always put your animal first and work to their strengths.

'Fiona's work is innovative; she takes a great deal of time and care to capture the subject perfectly and creates imaginative compositions. I was absolutely delighted to receive the photographs - they grace our walls and everyone, whether with a horse interest or not, takes time to admire them.' Sandie, Cornwall

'Fiona put us at ease, was very patient with our non compliant animals and made the experience great fun - and the pictures were fab too!' Naomi, Somerset

'Fiona was such a pleasure to deal with. She is so professional, incredibly patient and her understanding of horses meant that she could suggest ideas and angles that we hadn't even considered. The images she produced of my horse are probably the best gift I have ever had. They have pride of place in our home and I will treasure them forever,' Teresa, Cornwall

'Thank you for the excellent framed photographs of our three nags.

I scored maximum 'brownie points' with my wife by coming up with the framed images of all three at her surprise birthday party; far more than if it was a family photo!

I was most impressed that you turned up promptly considering the distance you needed to travel, organised us non horsey husband and children and got some great shots of the horses despite them not looking their best on your arrival.

Thank you for getting stuck in and grooming, the whole experience was most enjoyable even for those of us who do the 'horse thing' under duress.

I would whole heartily recommend you, the only down side was that my wife was not part of the whole experience but it was a fantastic, total surprise for her so you can't have everything.' Barry, Surrey

'I had waited 32 years from falling in love with the breed until I took the plunge and bred my first litter of English Setters.

It was such a special occasion my husband arranged for Fiona to photograph the puppies as a surprise for me. Fiona can't have known what she was letting herself in for, a litter of six puppies only seven and a half weeks old and two children under 5 years of age!!

Fiona was a complete professional and we had no idea how she managed to get such brilliant photographs.

We were so delighted with the results. Thank you Fiona for capturing my first litter so beautifully for me.' Nicky, Oxford

'I bought my fiancee a photo shoot with Fiona and would wholeheartedly recommend her to others who wish to have a record of their precious animals. She was patient and kind, taking the time to get the animals relaxed and to obtain the perfect shot. We have some lovely photographs to remember them by thanks to her skill and expertise.' Gail, Devon

“I arranged a photoshoot with Fiona because my veteran horse has been retired for a few years, and I am aware that my time with him is now limited. Fiona was very understanding of the situation and what I wanted to achieve - photographs of me and him together, with him loose in a 3 acre field, no head collar or bridle, might not have been the easiest thing! She was hugely helpful with everything, even down to the details of what sort of thing to wear.

The session itself was really enjoyable and Fiona was endlessly patient, whilst we convinced Charlie that he didn't have to eat all the time and did actually look very handsome with his ears forward. All the photos are beautiful and my main issue was picking which ones to have printed. Fiona has a lovely eye and captured many different moods and tones in my relationship with my horse, which was exactly what I wanted. He did stop eating grass, and put his ears forward, and stay with me to have his photo taken whilst completely free to wander around.

I've bought three of the prints and will be buying more later. They definitely need to be hung up and be seen as artwork, rather than be kept in digital format on a computer screen. I think the three of us, me, Charlie and Fiona, created some very special images that I will treasure for years to come.

Helen, North Devon

'We wanted something really special for our daughter's 18th birthday present and we certainly got it. Not only did we have a lot of fun with Fiona during the shoot but she also took the most beautiful photographs, I even liked the ones with me in!' Karen, Gloucestershire

'Fiona has now taken photographs of my horse and my four golden retrievers, all of which are absolutely beautiful. Fiona was very flexible and spent many an hour, just to capture the perfect moment.

I am extremely proud and grateful for the beautiful pictures that now line my hallway from Fiona.' Nicky, Hampshire.

'I would just like to write about mine and Albies photo shoot experience we had with Fiona. It was fun, funny and totally professional. I could not be more delighted with my beautiful prints. Fiona completely captured Albies spirit, the quality of the pictures is second to none too. You can see every hair on him! I have another dog now & we are booking another shoot!!' Jo, Devon

'I received the photo shoot as a birthday present, which was a fantastic idea and something I would not have bought for myself.

I must admit I was a little apprehensive due to my horse being out 24/7 and looking rather 'au naturel' and unfit.

When Fiona arrived, all my worries disappeared within seconds and I had a truly fantastic morning playing with my horse. Fiona has a great manner that makes you instantly relax and she manages to capture the special relationship you have with your horse without you even realising it!

Needless to say, I love my photographs and my horse looks amazing! These are certainly frames I will keep forever.' Vanessa, Milton Keynes

'I adore my photos of Milly - completely blown away by them. I was not sure what to expect on the day (apart from a dirty horse!) but had a great time.

It wasn't easy for Fiona as it kept raining and was quite windy, but she was  very patient with both Milly and myself plus the two dogs running around.' Sarah, Devon

'Fiona was very professional and incredibly kind - she knew exactly what she was doing. I thoroughly enjoyed the day. She was very patient and when I got the photographs I was over the moon. They looked better than I could have imagined.' Yasmin, Somerset

'Many thanks for the time you spent with me and my animals in September. You showed such a special sympathy for me and the creatures.

As a result we were all on our best behaviour and really enjoyed the shoot. I will always treasure the photos, they are so special and much admired by everybody who has seen them.' Hazel, Somerset

'The whole time was made to feel relaxed and special. The only problem I had was choosing the photos. They were all lovely and I couldn't believe they were taken at my yard. I will now always have some very special memories and photos of my lovely horse' Kate, Bristol

'Your relaxed and professional approach, coupled with your equine experience ensured that every opportunity for great photographs was taken. The excitement built up as we waited for our return date to view the photographs and your patience and enthusiasm as we searched through them was much appreciated.' Trish, Oxford

'Fiona immediately put me at ease with her relaxed manner and horsey chat, and I was barely aware that she was photographing us.

She listened to the ideas I had for pictures and used her experience to find the best locations and lighting to add atmosphere and interest to the photos.

The finished results were a delight...the only problem was trying to select which ones to buy'. Sarah, Devon

'It was a joy to have the session because the enjoyment you get from your work is tangible.

I love the photos because they’ll give me the opportunity to remember the bond I have with my lovely daft Harry for the rest of my life. Long after he’s gone and when I’m arthritic, doolally, incontinent, can’t ride any longer and my grandchildren think I’m a silly old bat(!), I’ll be able to look at them and be transported back to a lovely warm day with my furry friend. Thanks so much.' Sarah & Harry, Wales

'I would absolutely recommend booking a shoot with Fiona. We all had a really great time having the photographs taken! The whole afternoon was very relaxed and Fiona was incredibly patient with us and Bungle, she was really enthusiastic, with so many ideas for how to get exactly the photographs we were looking for and more.

We've got some amazing photographs which really capture Bungle's personality and our relationship with him. Everyone who has seen the photos has just loved them' Bungle, Katherine, Helen and Hazel, Surrey

'Just wanted to drop you a line to say WOW! What fantastic photographs you took, my husband and I were truly speechless! They were all wonderful, making it especially difficult to narrow the selection down to my original few! I know what will be on my Christmas/Birthday/Anniversary list for the foreseeable future!

I was also surprised at how much we all enjoyed having our photographs taken; I even think the horses and dogs rose to the occasion, especially the foal. I do think that your quiet, laid back, friendly approach really put all the animals and myself at ease which made the experience all the more enjoyable.

I am very grateful to the time you took in ensuring we got the most of our day and will always treasure the lovely photographic portrait work that you did for me, it really is very special.' Zoe, Gloucestershire

'Having a litter of puppies from my border terrier Skippy has been a wonderful journey. The planning, waiting and hoping, followed by watching these six little characters develop. I wanted to capture the moment in a photograph that would always remind me of this experience. I had the image in my mind, and Fiona made it real.

Always great fun to work with, she is completely professional, and her quality of work speaks for itself. I am delighted to recommend her to you.' Clare, Devon.
