I have been updating my website and social media platforms and here is a little something I wrote about me for those who don't know me yet!
I’m Fiona and I’m slightly obsessed with crinkle cut salted crisps and Highland ponies.
Most days you can find me photographing horses or other pets or riding my two hairy ponies in a Thelwell like manner.
I am mostly known for my equestrian photographic escapades with annual Riding Club Camps, exquisite photographic portraits of horses and other animals and my book ‘A Portrait of West Country Racing’.
I have many ongoing commissions with Riding Clubs, Racecourses, Equine Charities, Competition Centres, Stud Farms and Equestrian Brands as well as Event Organisers (Badminton, Royal Windsor and Olympia). They all love my unique style, desire for perfection and my personality.
I love serving the world of animal lovers by creating memories of beloved pets to treasure for a lifetime. I have limitless patience; no animal has broken me yet!
I photograph people who are looking for exquisite photos of their pets; capturing its personality and vitality in natural surroundings; to put up on their walls on canvas or in frames to celebrate forever.
I am lucky enough to have specialised as soon as I started out as a professional photographer. With my wealth of knowledge and experience (15+ years) I can capture the moment in a relaxed, happy and fun manner.
As a photographer I gained my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Photography in 2001 which at that time was film cameras and dark room based! I’ve been honoured with numerous placings in international equestrian competitions, gained my ARPS from the Royal Photographic Society and have been commissioned by a publishing house to produce my book entitled ‘A Portrait of West Country Racing’ in 2008.
The things I am most passionate about are; my creativity, my husband, my ponies, my dogs – in no particular order….
When I’m not busy working on my photography you can catch me, spending time with my hairy ponies, walking my overly enthusiastic dog or having a cheeky weekend away with my husband.

Do you want to know more?
Here are seven things you might not know about me.
I grew up on a mixed farm in Essex and until I was 8 years old I wanted to be a butcher. Ironically now I am allergic to all grains, dairy and eggs.
As the only student interested in photography at school I used to skip lessons and hide in the darkroom, developing photos of my friends and their horses.
I have a Higher Diploma in Equine Science and Behaviour.
I love anything ‘Thelwell’ and watching ‘Pride and Prejudice’ on repeat – yes, the TV one with Colin Firth.
I am fixated with hats and anything tweed, tweed hats are just the ultimate creation – it must be my Scottish roots.
And yes, I can reverse a laden horse trailer ½ mile up a steep Devon Lane for a miserable milk tanker driver and still smiled and waved!

If it is daylight I am going to be outside, if it is dark I’m probably in the office eating dark chocolate or sleeping!
Photo credit to my fabulous BF Emily for the beautiful photo of me and my angel Riff Raff. My first Highland Pony, he arrived with me in 1992 and was sadly put to sleep in 2017.
