Question of the day (QotD) – How many collars and leads do you have for your dog?
I want to introduce you to Louise, she is totally amazing, so talented and beyond conscientious. I have watched her create LG Leatherworks and she is a true inspiration. Over the years Louise has handmade various bespoke leathergoods for me, she is always open to ideas if you have something special you would like designed and handmade. A belt for my husband, dog collars and leads for JoJo, a journal for me, keyrings for my client gifts. You could safely say I am a fan! Go and check out her website and social feed.

How does your business help dogs and their people?
I create bespoke handmade dog collars to fit your pet perfectly
What are your goals and ambitions for your business over the next year and how can we help?
To reach more customers and expand my range while I develop new skills
What was your biggest triumph from the last year?
My collar and lead featuring in Country Life magazine
What is your favourite part of your job?
Definitely being creative, planning new designs and then bringing them to life
What is the funniest thing that has happened in your job?
When we had to move my whole workshop 4 miles on the back of a tractor when we moved house.
What are your favourite things about your community of clients, customers and supports?
I love to receive customer feedback and reviews and being sent a photo of a customers dog in their new collar is just the best!
If this wasn’t your job what would you do instead?
I would like to be a cowgirl!! Failing that something creative such as costume design for period dramas!
If you were to start a business again, what advise would you give yourself in general?
Find someone to hold you accountable in your business, and help you get visible. Mistakes are just lessons, sometimes things go wrong but keep going.
If you could be any dog, what breed would you be and how does that align with your personality?
A Labrador, I love long walks and exploring.
What is the earliest dog related memory that you can recall?
My grandparents yellow Labrador called Sugar who I remember when I was very small
Name three things you couldn’t live without?
My family, horses and dogs!
