How are you keeping inspired and motivated with your horses over the winter this year?
I have signed up for The Ruby Moor Riding Club Winter Challenges.
It is a bit of fun, you can take part in as little or as much of the challenges set out as you want. It will hopefully give me the extra push to spend time with the ponios whatever the weather.
There is a Miles in the Saddle challenge, that will push me to do a few extra miles at the weekends I hope. Earning points for miles completed.
The Eagle Eyes Hacking Tasks where you have to photograph you and your horse with random objects that are listed in advance. This month I think the most challenging subject to be photographed with for is me and Dochie with a cow, might need a zoom lens for that one, he hasn't recovered from last year's cattle herding day yet! (another story for another time!)
The Horsemanship Challenge is going to get me back into my horsemanship skills and training. We have to video ourselves doing set skills that would normally be found in Horsemanship clinics and show classes. There are different levels so I can start with the basic ones until me and ponio are on the same page.
This is super exciting and I can't wait to get started. I promise to keep you all posted on our Winter journey.
What have you got in mind to keep you inspired this winter?
