Part 1 - Getting myself out there. I feel like I have been pushed onto an empty stage in front of a live audience.
I am not good at raising myself up and singing my own praises, a very British thing I know. I just don't want to sound big-headed or egotistical. The problem with this is I run my own business, I am the photographer, accountant, designer, tech support and marketing manager to name just a few roles.
I need to get myself better at raising myself up for you to see me, get to know me and ways we can work together!
I have been collecting reviews from clients for over a year now and I am still reluctant to share them.
With the New Year to spur me on and a little bit of courage here I am. It did help that earlier this week I received this beautiful review and I thought it was all too perfect an opportunity to miss sharing it with you.
Please read it and I will hide behind my screen with slightly red cheeks!!
Chloe, Bigwig and Jaffer
Q: What was your biggest concern about hiring me?
A: I wanted Fiona to capture my horses without me being in the pictures and ruining them!
I am not photogenic in the slightest and knew the shoot would be fairly emotional as my older horse is rather ancient and I am honestly not sure how much time I have left with him!
Fiona helped me to understand that the shoot was not just about photographing my horses, but also about capturing the relationship I have with each of them.
I begrudgingly gave in and allowed myself to be included in some of the pictures and she honestly worked a total miracle!
I wasn't posed awkwardly once, everything was a completely natural moment which I will cherish forever.
Q: If you were to recommend me to your best friend what would you say?
A : Fiona is a miracle worker and makes dreams come true! Biggie is almost 30 years old but the angle she photographed him at made him look like a young horse - so clever.
And she made my other boy look a million dollars too!
Q: What was your favourite or most helpful part of working with me?
A : Fiona has a very quiet and easy way around people and animals. She is honest too. At one point my head was turned to the side and she told me I should lift my chin to assist with removal of a double chin appearance and when I had a 'muffin top' moment, she tactfully told me so I could adjust myself. I would rather that than not know until the pictures were shown to me and it was too late. She made me laugh out loud and actually enjoy the shoot!
Do you have anything else you would like to tell me about your overall experience that would help me improve?
Nope - it was perfect!
I am so grateful to Chloe, sharing her experiences with you and I am deeply touched to receive such a glowing review, it is why I do what I do. Inside I do a happy dance and get a bit emotional, outside I smile my big smile and keep moving forwards. Thank you Chloe.
I know it helps potential clients feel comfortable hiring me when they see that others have had positive experiences working with me. If you have worked with me, would you mind giving me a Google review? It should only take about 2-3 minutes.
It helps me so much to move my business forward.
Next week I will be launching more ways we can work together in 2022.
If you can't wait contact me here
Thank you,
Fiona xxx
