Yippeeeee...
I can't express how excited I am, although to be honest a little anxious! Who isn't in these times? But...
I start photographing jump racing on Tuesday (7th July), yes tomorrow..! I will be a photo ninja with my black face mask on at all times (BHA rules) and my hand sanitiser attached to my belt. Bring it on!
Shortly followed by my first commission at Stockland Lovell Manor, I can not wait to get back there, the friendly faces (hopefully not masked up, outside anyway!) and the amazing course. It is going to look amazing I am sure, they have been re designing the course, as well as putting in new jumps and a lot of ground maintenance and care. The photographs will be stunning thanks to all these factors and of course the amazing attendees, 4 and 2 legged.
I do take my job very seriously and I have waited longer than others to return as I wanted to gauge the ongoing situation. I have a high level hygiene routine in place, I wear a face mask for any close contact work, gloves are mostly on except when handling my camera and I carry plenty of hand sanitiser and sterile wipes to wipe down my equipment between every shoot too. A new way of working but no bad thing.
Unfortunately I can not do onsite sales at Stockland Lovell for the foreseeable future as there is no means to socially distance ourselves to do this safely. Rest assured I will have your images online asap and I am more than happy to do a zoom call with any client who would like advice on what to buy. I am loving a good video call, I have been lonely!!
As for my portraiture photography, this too is starting up. Now all my lovely human clients have managed to have a hair appointment! It has been brilliant that the dogs of the world have had access to the hairdressers before their humans but it does not bode well for a photo shoot if their humans want to be in the photographs too! The social distancing is hard for me but I am strong willed, I can forgo for a while a puppy cuddle or a pony scratch but hopefully not for too long.
Bye for now, Fiona x
